The luger test was created to find defections in the DRN models.

Dorian does not believe the test was accurate. Dr. Nigel Vaughn stated that he was not given the opportunity to attempt to fix the malfunctioning DRNs, but instead the 'powers that be' decided to decommission the DRN line instead.

Rudy Lom confirmed that Dorian has already undertaken a luger test and assured that Review Board that he did not need to undertake another one, during his yearly performance review for 2048.
