I'm Bones (or John if you prefer my middle name) and I feel like the sole survivor of a fandom apocalypse here...are there any active members/AH roleplayers out there? If so, please message me. I deeply love this fandom but it's very difficult to find anyone who is still an active member of it.
Also since the forums are archived, this is the only place I could think of posting this.
This is the place to talk about your favorite topic, to share news, theories, ideas, and to connect with others. The content from your Forum has been converted to Discussions posts, so nothing has been lost.
I don't know what type of writing style this wiki wants, so I will try to reduce adding information and just stick to basic summaries for things. I don't want to double the work load for anyone if there is conflict.
I read and enjoyed "Timeline for Almost Human" on tumblr (http://nikki4noo.tumblr.com/post/78596066078/timeline-for-almost-human). Nice work! Got me thinking, and I wondered if it would be possible to narrow down the season a bit more. To start the discussion, I'd like to propose that "Unbound" takes place around Sept 2048. No firm dates, of course, but:
1) school is back in session & it seems to be campaign season (not only the fundraiser but also a big billboard seen)
2) Kennex says inSyndicate's raid on the evidence locker was "a few months ago" (mid Oct would make 1/2 year from the Pilot and a bit too long for "a few months" then ... I think)
3) Dr. Vaughn says the original XRN incident was "2 years ago" (first half of 2046, before the raid)
Agree/disagree? I'd love to hear everyone's opinions!
What exactly happened? Officers teamed up with androids(?) (Glad no Matrix incidents happened and humanity is still in control), crimes on new peak, no improvements to executing criminals rather than capturing them (which, in my opinion, would be a service to the Mother Earth by cutting down redundant population, and save the cost to maintain incarcerations), bad-uns got all the good guns, and now I see no people use *pen* anymore???
I know it's sci-fi, but I gotta admit, after viewing episode eight, I have decided to preserve all my drawings - *pencil* drawings, by my own hand - from now on, no longer as something taken for granted, but as a legacy, in case the 2048 dystopian future really happens (likely). That way, at least there will still be someone who preserves, remembers, and can operate the traditional hand-create art (on the right side is one of my most recent drawings). Call me dramatic or crazy or weird or paranoid or anything all you want, but I think I'm gonna do this (Don't tell me I'm the only one doing this.).
That being said, I still knows little about what exactly happened on Almost Human.
